I will start by saying that a manager is supposed to be kind and understanding, not rude and dismissive. Instead, I had my enhancements taken away in exchange for canceling an appointment today, which I was assured would not be charged, depending on the manager's approval for a massage. This is not good business practice. I made an appointment for 3:30 PM, but Massage Envy called to change it to 3:00 PM. Initially, I thought this would work, but I ended up being eight minutes late due to the distance from my house. I called ahead to inform them of my delay, and they assured me I would still receive my 90-minute massage. However, that didn't happen, and the service was subpar. I requested a full-body massage, which I did not receive. When I checked out, I explained the situation to the associates. They offered me a free enhancement for my next visit and a birthday enhancement since it was my birthday. They also suggested I schedule another appointment for the next day with a masseuse that they suggested and I agreed to consider it, and they would checking with the manager about giving me a free massage due to the issue. I was told I wouldn't be charged for a cancellation. They were supposed to call me back within 15 minutes, but they didn't. A couple of hours later, I called back and was informed that I couldn't get the free massage. I remembered I had a coupon, but by the time I got home, I noticed it had expired. The next morning, I called again and was told I would be charged for canceling the appointment, despite being previously assured I wouldn't be. I asked to speak to the manager, Natalie, who was rude. She removed my enhancements in exchange for not charging me for the cancellation. The whole situation was not my fault. They should have kept my original appointment at 3:30 PM. Now, I'm being punished for a massage that wasn’t a full body massage after I specifically stated that is what I wanted and not getting my 90 minutes. My birthday enhancement and complementary encouragement was taken away by Natalie in exchange for the cancellation, when I was told that I wouldn’t be charged for a cancellation because the appointment was made based on the associate speaking with the manager who wants to come in 15 minutes later. However, I never received a call back. I had to call them later that night and the manager still wasn’t there. therefore, I called back first thing the next morning and spoke with the manager, Natalie who was dismissive and said yes you were late not taking into consideration that my original appointment was 3:30 but they called me to change my appointment to 3:00 pm. This was very unprofessional, and I would never go to that location again.
