- Rating 4.0My previous massage envy therapist was amazing. She listened, she was attentive, and she knew how to handle my pain. But, she got an extra certification, and her franchise owner refused to give her a raise to make her employment worth it. So, she quit. And everyone she recommended to me quit… so, I just went with the first available when the pain was so bad I couldn’t stand it. The first available was in Williamsburg. It’s a beautiful location, and I was excited. But, my therapist didn’t listen to me when I said I have horrible neck and upper back pain. I needed the focus there… and I preferred deep touch for long term pain relief. I didn’t care what style, so I let her choose. I told her she should be able to see my care plan in my account- which she confirmed. We had great conversation, she may have over talked, but she completely ignored everything I asked for relief in. I complained at the front, and the comped the target therapy (which was menthol and hot towels in the wrong place. I asked for my neck. That’s where my pain. It was placed on my back…. And I can’t use menthol- which I didn’t know was the targeted tension relief. Overall, I left in excruciating pain and very upset. However, if I can find a good therapist again, I will be happy.
