The facility was fine, and the front receptionist was friendly. My massage therapist was late, and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Fine, I can get past that. I shared the trouble spots I've been having, which was limited to three targeted areas. She was wearing gloves, which I have not experienced during a massage, even in 2021. It was freezing outside, and she had a nice soft blanket over me, until the latex gloves were causing her rubbing to create friction, and shock me over and over. I didn't say anything, and rather than removing the gloves, she removed the blanket after several shocks. When she got to my feet, which I had requested, she did nothing close to a massage. I believe she was just running her fists down the bottom of my feet, both at the same time, so there was zero pressure. It was so bizarre. Like she was there because she was being punished. The massage ended early, which shouldn't have been the case....remember, it started late. When I went to check out, I had forgotten how expensive Massage Envy is. I'll pay money for a massage, but when it's expensive, I should at least leave feeling like I'm glad I did it. I added her tip to my credit card (yes, I will always tip for service provided), and then I noticed that the price was higher than it should have been. I asked about it, and the receptionist then told me they charge a fee to make sure the massage therapists get their tips on the day of the service. Fine, but make that known. Completely disappointed in my experience at the Corinth location.
