- Rating 2.5The room i was in was cold, the table and blankets were also cold. Majority of places ive been always had heated beds or at least warmed sheets. The massage gel/oil that was used was also extremely cold. Not sure if it was just my masseuse or if others at ME do it too, but they jist placed the oil directly on me. Didnt seem to warm it in their hands before placing on my skin. Also, the lights were on the entire time. It wasnt an issue when i was on my stomach but when i was on my back more than halfway through, it was hard to relax. I didnt think to ask to turn the lights off or down because i didnt know if that were an option. Also, i specifically asked for certain body parts to be focused on but that didn't happen in a consistent matter. Example, left shoulder and back were focused on a lot, other side wasnt. Had to request to give attention to right side. Mentioned lower back was a problem area as well. Low back was barely touched. Same went for my feet. And only the arches were focused on (using the same stroke over and over), heels, toes and top of foot were barely touched. I understand my masseuse may have been new or just starting out but overall my massage wasn't very enjoyable comparwd to ones I've gotten other places and spas. I scheduled a 60minute and when my masseuse brought me into the room, they informed me that per ME policy, 10mins is used for paperwork and dressing and that hands on would be 50mins. I was a little taken aback but figured it is what it is. They began close to 2:10 (was scheduled for 2pm) and when they finished I noticed it was 2:53. So the hands on portion wasnt even 50mins. I was gifted a package and plan to utilize it and try another therapist to see if things are any different or not. Next time I will know to be specific and ask for any accommodations to make my experience a bit better.
