I unfortunately know way too much about a couple of the therapist. Their rent payment, where they live, planning on getting another job, where their from, their education and etc etc etc. It would be great if they had the ability to read the customer. It is beyond difficult to relax during your massage or facial when their talking the whole session about their personal life and it is unsolicited. Also, I requested how and what I wanted massaged. I stated I wanted my back and neck massaged only with deep pressure. I was told that she had 26 years experience and knows what should be massaged and had the ability to tell by her hands how deep to go. I told her again what I wanted, as I thought it was my massage appointment and not hers. She didnt do what I wanted and wouldn’t go deeper. It felt like I was just having oil rubbed on me and then getting the karate chop in areas. When she asked how it was. I replied, “ I feel the same as when I walked in”. It was a total waste of money and time. That is the second time in last couple months this has happened (the other time with a different therapist). Another time the therapist would not listen due to what I wanted and took offense per her. She felt her 20 years and license was being questioned when I told her what I would like. I told her no just want for her to know what I wanted because she kept talking about her 20 years of experience and being from CA and etc etc. She was talking so much she didnt even hear me several times when I asked her to lighten up on pressure. She was in her own world talking about her personal life that she didnt even listen. I learned a lesson from that appointment that I should of got dressed and left versus letting her hurt me because she was talking so loud and rambling and her rent and etc etc. I understand they have knowledge but I am the one paying for it and I would like to get what I want worked on and how I would like. As I told my husband that the massage felt like I just got moisturized and not a massage. Also, when we walked in we were not greeted, we waited to be acknowledge for like 5-6 minutes as we were the only ones in the lobby. I finally told the lady we have appointments and the response was, “I know”. Come on surely you can do better than that when a customer comes in and not just say, “I know”.
