When I arrived at two minutes past my appointment time, I was asked if I wanted any enhancements for my massage. I said that my muscles were sore from a recent workout, so the front desk associate recommended biofreeze and led me back to the room. She gave the biofreeze to the massage therapist who made a derogatory comment, something along the lines of "What, she's late AND she wants special services?" The therapist did not see me, so the front desk associate let the therapist know I was right behind her. The therapist did not introduce herself or ask what areas I needed work on. Instead she said there would not be time for a full body massage because of the extra services, and I would have to choose upper body or lower body. I was a bit confused by this, but I chose upper body. The massage therapist told me to start face down, which is different from all the other massage therapists. I don't mind different, but I do think a reason should be shared. The massage started out OK, but I was cold, so I asked for the heat to be turned up. When the time came for me to turn over, I almost asked to end the massage because the therapist's breath was so unpleasant. It was a relief when the therapist ended the session five minutes early. I felt cold, tense, and disgusted with the smell. This was very far below the quality I have been accustomed to over the years of coming here.
