- Rating 1.0I reached out and emailed massage envy the day after the worst massage ever and have yet to have anyone reach back out. I booked a 90 minute massage for my birthday and was paired with Esther. Esther did not take my requests or feedback. She stated she being with a face massage, I said I’d like to skip that, she did it anyway. I asked her to focus on my shoulders, hands and feet. Esther told me I should’ve signed up for a stretch session before the massage and was disappointed I didn’t choose add ons. When I showed her the tension spots in my shoulders and asked her to go deeper she stated she wasn’t good with knots and was more of a light to med therapist. She stretched my arms like a goal post and pulled and leaned into my arms and legs instead of rubbing. She briefly rubbed the top of my feet and not the bottom, did not massage hands. She started each area without using oil or lotion which stretched and pinched skin and then when she added it she used very sparingly. When she asked about pressure and I asked her to go harder, she told me I should go to a male massage therapist. When I even suggested how my husband rubs my back, instead of adjusting she asked if he ever thought about becoming a massage therapist. The whole thing was horrible and a huge waste of money.
