Davaska in the front desk @Silver Spring,MD and the people tending the phones. Davaska was quite rude, even when I called in informing them that I was running 10 minutes late for the massage on Sat. 02/01/202 @11 am. I got there a few minutes late and felt horrible because I usually don't run late to places. After my massage, Davaska was trying to charge me for the massage even when they had my information showcasing that my husband purchased a massage packet for me. Davaska tried to explain in a very condescending manner, the gift card policy and said that my husband would have to come physically to the store to show that I had it. My husband thought this was ridiculous and managed to get a picture from the gift card. I showed the picture to Davaska and she took a call as I was talking to her and made the girl next to her check me out with the picture of the gift card. I personally felt offended and proceeded to tell the now lady checking me out that I was concerned about this gift card policy because my husband always purchases massages to gift to his father and when purchasing as recently as January 2020, the same store didn't have gift cards available. In which case they gave us a receipt to show that we had purchased such gift card and that the receipt would suffice when claiming the gift card. Thereafter another lady from the back office behind the counter came out and said that they never run out of gift cards. She started a discussion with me which after a few seconds I had to tell her that I wasn't lying and I wasn't going to get into a discussion with her about it, that very politely "we could agree to disagree". This comment seemed to bother her and she proceeded to keep the discussion flowing. In order to stop her from escalating the discussion, I had to tell her, let's leave it at that and I didn't want to discuss this any longer. I have personally never felt so attacked by front desk representatives, I unfortunately could not get the name of the girl that managed to check me out in the end. In my eyes, she was the only one who handled herself in a respectful and kind manner. I felt so uncomfortable by Davaska and the lady coming from the back office that all I wanted to do was to get out of there as quick as possible. Please do not bother to contact me with any coupons or freebies as I am not interested in ever going to a Massage Envy. I would much rather pay the extra bucks and go to an actually massage spa.
