  I was gifted a 3-month package ($300) and the Grayslake location closed shortly after. I'm now going to the Vernon Hills, IL location and have called and sent several emails trying to get the gift card credited to my account with no success /response from management.

  The facial itself was great. Priscilla is a wonderful aesthetician. However, I felt the marketing practices were a bit deceptive. When I booked online, I was under the impression I was getting an intro offer for a $120 facial. When I went to check out, I was told I owe $195, a significant price difference, because I don’t “qualify” for the intro offer. I have an account with Massage Envy, so it’s dishonest to tell customers online they owe one price, and charge them another after the service is complete. I even went back to read the fine print afterwards, and there was no mention that I didn’t qualify for the intro offer. I

  Way too much upselling today by the front desk From calling before my appointment to try to upsell to when I walked in to when I was trying to leave I felt hustled like a bad used car salesman

  I have always been able to find a massage therapist in the years of being a member that suits my needs. Jennifer has been amazing. Holland is lovely and Maria is always trying to please.

  Friendly staff, receptionist took her time to fit me in on a day that worked with my schedule. Facility was clean. On the day of my appointment, the person checking me in and also the person checking me out (2 different people) were very nice! My massage therapist was very nice and explained everything really well, however, I paid for a 90 minute massage and got less than that due to them incorporating your “consultation” into your time. So really, you’re not getting what you are paying for. This was despite me filling out an information sheet which I can tell was not reviewed prior to me getting called back. That also cuts into your scheduled time! This should have been emailed to me so that it can be filled out prior to me coming in so that I can get my full 90 minutes that I’m paying for! Also, my session was very- talkative; not relaxing at all. I need to add that my provider was rushing. Rushed the consult and didn’t really pay attention to what I was explaining as to my problem areas and rushed at the end of my session as well. This didn’t feel like “me time” and I did not get a good rapport with my provider to make the decision to schedule with her specifically again. My massage was not a massage. I got a rub down. I came in with very stiff back, neck, and shoulder muscles, and she simply rubbed up and down my back, literally flat open hands rubbing up and down. No other massage techniques were used to really get in there like I wanted and the areas I wanted massaged weren’t massaged. I communicated this to her but she said this is what she felt was best for me. Used too much lotion, lotion was ice cold. Also, the nails got to go!! I was getting pinched and scratched too many times to count. When I got home I had lots of red marks around the back of my neck and other parts of my back. This was my first time at a Massage Envy. I will go back but only to try a different massage therapist on my 2nd visit. Hopefully I get a better and top notch experience!
