- Rating 1.0I was gifted a massage Giftcard for my birthday and I specifically wanted a deep tissue massage. Jim was the only option so I selected Jim. He’s a very heavy set guy who was breathing very hard the entire time. Not great in an environment where you come to relax. He was constantly talking and asking questions. When he was working on my feet, he was making statements and asking questions like, wow you are so dehydrated, you must not drink enough water, your sinus must be bad (which it’s NOT), you must be very stressed etc. I don’t know if he was showing off or what but unnecessary and unprofessional especially when he couldn’t pick up the context cues. His back massage also lacked technique. I get a massage at least 2x a month and he was rubbing lotion with a little bit of pressure. No technique whatsoever. After asking him to apply more pressure 2x, I shared that I usually get Thai massages that apply a lot of pressure and one of the techniques is someone stepping on my back. I said I’m NOT asking or implying that he does, obviously because he’s heavy set AND because it’s NOT in your practice but I shared it so he was aware that I can handle some pressure. He just seemed inexperienced even though he said he had more than 20 years of experience. Kept asking if it felt good and how did it feel. It was NOT a relaxing experience nor did it come even close to meeting my expectations. Never again.

- Rating 1.0My massage was probably the worst one I have had. The massage therapist sat in the chair the whole time and never stood up. She missed my entire lower back which I told her was my problem area. No music was playing and she breathed very heavily and loudly the whole time. The room Smelled of dirty laundry and was just a very unpleasant experience. It was my first time at massage envy and I couldn’t recommend it to anyone.
