I have received services there about four times prior to this visit. The massages have always had disastrous consequences. Each time, I am met with therapists who refuse to give me the service I deserve. It is also met with an attitude. For instance, I came in two years ago and said I wanted a Swedish Massage; the therapist said, "Oh, so you fancy." Then, I began to knead my back with so much pressure (even though I said stop) that it was almost abuse. I ended up telling him to stop, but it was too late. I could not walk. They had to give me Tylenol and ask if they needed to call 911. Instead, I called my husband, who is a doctor, to get me. I literally couldn't walk! I got a lawyer to sue. Another time, I asked if they were going to wear a mask (some did this last year), and I was met with attitude. I told them I just asked so that I would know if I needed to wear one. I wore one, and the man preceded to touch me barely. It was as if he was massaging air. So, now I go to my esthetician. This location has always had great ones! And now, with the lighting enhancement treatments, I drive over 35 minutes past a Massage Envy by me to get my face treatments done. It sucks that I have to split my massages and face treatments. I get my massages at my hometown Stockbridge office. I have not had ONE bad experience in 10 years. Which shows the extreme difference between Midtown. I also go to Cascade and they are great for massages, too. I steer EVERYONE I can away from midtown for massages but not facial treatments hence the 5 instead of 10 rating.
