- Rating 3.5My therapist was very good, but she did not spend as much time on the 2 areas I requested as I would have liked. The 2 areas of tightness I indicated in the pre-appointment intake were my upper shoulders/neck and my calves. She was spending a lot of time on my mid and lower back, but less on my neck and shoulders so I made a little comment to give her a hint I needed more upper shoulder work. At that point she did switch to my shoulders and did some great work there, but the back massage portion was almost over. All-in-all, I'd say it ended up being about 65-70% mid and lower back and 30-35% shoulders and neck. I wish this ratio had been reversed. With my legs, equal time was spent on upper, lower, and feet, but I had requested more attention on my calves. I also would have liked a bit more elbow work since I requested deep tissue and it is easier to get deep with the elbow. My husband also had a deep tissue with a different therapist and he said she did tons of elbow work and focused on his calf, so I was a bit jealous!
