- Rating 1.5I went to the Manhattan Beach Massage Envy. Being a person who enjoys getting massages I was disappointed. I felt the environment was actually gloomy. My therapist Maria was also not very personable. It felt like a very mechanical experience. There was no music playing. I was cold and asked if anything could be done to make the room warmer. My therapist just matter of fact stated no nothing can be done. Her massage technique was fine. However, being my first time at Massage Envy, knowing they are specialized in doing massages, I was disappointed. I would have appreciated more focus on the holistic customer experience. The energy for me, was not positive. Sorry.
