  I recently visited your spa for a massage session with one of your therapists, Brenda. I wanted to provide you with feedback on my experience as I believe it is important for the improvement of your services. I must express my disappointment with the massage I received from Brenda. It was by far the worst massage experience I have ever had. Brenda did not engage much during the session and, at times, seemed bothered by my presence. I understand and respect that she may be an elder, but this should not affect her ability to provide a satisfactory massage. Unfortunately, Brenda could not apply any pressure during the session, which I believe may have been due to her age. Moreover, Brenda only focused on my shoulder blades for the entire 60-minute session even though being directed numerous times that I wanted her to work on my lower back since that is where my pain is. . She lightly rubbed each leg and arm twice, without paying any attention to other parts of my body such as my head or feet. I was particularly disturbed when Brenda placed a towel over the back of my head to prevent lotion from getting in my hair, and continuously flicked the towel as if I was unclean. As a recent cancer survivor celebrating my 50th birthday with a gift card worth $150, I left the appointment feeling agitated and frustrated. I did not experience any relaxation or relief from the massage, which is the opposite of what I had hoped for. I strongly believe that Brenda should not be providing massages if this is the standard of care she consistently delivers. If I had paid for the session, I would have been even more upset. I trust that you will address this matter promptly to ensure that other clients do not have a similar negative experience. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing from you regarding the steps you plan to take to address my concerns. Thank you for your time and understanding.
