From walking in and checking 19 minutes early to doing new paperwork, it started off rocky; the front desk team thought I was someone else there for a facial and had a membership when I told them multiple times this was my first visit and i had booked a massage with Stacey, I jumped into the iPad paperwork with one of the front desk girls, and again she was confused as to why it wasn't a facial so I re-reminded her went as we went through all the prompts, she told me a little bit about additional services / add on's we went through the scent testing and making sure that I wasn’t pregnant before starting my massage etc. She also touched a bit on the membership option got me a water and led me to a waiting room where 2 other women were already sitting. After about 10 minutes of waiting, Stacey came to get me; after seeing who she was, I realized I watched her walk her last client out. It was not a huge deal; she brought me back and told me I'd have 5 additional minutes to undress and another 5 to dress, so the massage had already shorted to maybe 50 minutes….she went over all the info I had already told the front desk girls and input into the iPad, clarified some of the services I had added to my massage ( aromatherapy and the hand exfoliation) and then popped out of the room for me to change, the massage started around 10:07 I know because of the digital clock on the wall, and it was A LOT of Stacey talking about the membership program, pitching me on the massage package benefit options, etc, the talking, in general, was a lot as someone getting a massage is trying to relax, we talked a bit about work out classes and her press of the massage, and then later on most of the massage she was quieter and it was more peaceful. The overall massage was okay, but kind of lack luster, I could barely smell the citrus aromatherapy but also wasnt 100% sure she had actually done anything about it, and then the “hand exfoliation” add-on for $10 was a joke for what a received a wet towel over my hand, a light sugar scrub and a wipe off - this also annoyed me because Stacey stopped what I felt to be early at like 10:40 ( again thanks to the clock on the wall) to go get “supplies” for the Hand exfoliation, and let's say she was gone for at least a few minutes. She talked again quite a bit at the end of the massage and sat for this entire portion, which felt a little lazy towards the end of our time together. She was then on her way out and done with me by 10:52 as I was already re-dressing and on my way to find the bathroom briefly before checking out. Upon checking out and putting a tip on my service with Stacey, both the front desk girls again gave me the whole spiel on why I needed a membership and how jumping on it now was what I should do, etc. I graciously listened to the whole spiel for now, the third time in less than 90 minutes, and told them thank you so much, but I don’t have the time for this today, etc. I was then called less than 24 hours later and asked again about how and when I wanted to get signed up for a package deal, etc., and politely told the rep who called me about how this was the most corporate, lackluster, sales-pushing massage experience of my life.
