- Rating 2.5While my initial impression of Massage Envy was very very good, after previous experiences I am more than likely not to recommend ME to family or friends. My most recent visit was pleasant in regard to the massage, but the customer service and rules are creating a stressful environment which defeats the purpose of visiting Massage Envy. I received a call the day of my appointment that they had to cancel my appointment and gave me two available times to choose from to go to. This wouldn’t be the worst, but when I made an appointment the month before it was a same-day appointment and had the rudest experience. My appointment was for a massage an hour later. I had an obligation arise urgently and when I called to cancel, I was quickly told I would be charged the total payment because I cancelled in “less than 24 hours”. Note, I made the appointment less than 24 hours - less than 2 hours. The way the person spoke to me was shockingly rude. It was an extremely uncomfortable way to come in and spend money for a massage. I felt like I was being forced to pay for a service at your company. Since then, I’m having a difficult time planning to book an appointment because I’m nervous another bad experience is heading my way. And when I do- you cancel on me! …. Really want to enjoy this, but yall are making it near impossible.
